UPVC Slotting kit

For failed Multipoint lock mechanisms which cannot be released by the usual methods.

This is a “Backtrack” based Kit. It is specifically for UPVC Doors and Windows where the mechanisms are failed and cannot be released. It is ideal for Shootbolt only systems and those which are rusted or broken and will not release under normal systems. It is also ideal for small windows which are impossible to open with regular tools. It works on both windows and doors and requires removal of panels and sealed units to gain access to the back of the Door or window sash.

METHOD

The Slotting Jig is screwed to the inside of the UPVC sash and enables quick, efficient and accurate machining onto the back of the mechanism. The Kit comprises of 2 types of Burr (PVC and Steel) to suit the materials encountered. Requires a 3mm Based Dremel machine or similar. A right angled attachment could also be useful on windows less than 350mm internal clearance. A Release Striker tool is included with the Kit.
